Feeling Software Inc., of Montreal, Canada, has announced the latest product in its Omnipresence 3D suite of advanced physical security applications. Designed for architecture & engineering (A&E) firms, security integrators and security directors, Pro Design provides a never-before-seen approach to surveillance planning using 3D floor plans and maps.

Using Omnipresence 3D Pro Design for surveillance planning, countless hours spent back-and-forth between the facility and the office are eliminated. With instant 3D previews of what each camera covers, planning can now be accomplished more effectively from the comfort of one’s desk.

For instance, Omnipresence 3D Pro Design helped identify the optimal location of more than 300 cameras at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, a large Canadian University. The new 3D Pro Design tool provides system integrators and site engineers the ability to move, add or configure cameras incredibly quickly, which saves time and money.

“At our most recent project, we spent almost two weeks of full-time work to define the exact positioning of cameras in several buildings,” said Daniel Jeanson, of SGPTI, the integrator for the Ecole Polytechnique project. “However, when we started using Omnipresence 3D Pro Design, we averaged 2 hours per building that averaged 100 cameras each.”
