The GSA has started using what they like to call “Objective Scorecards” in order to increase the speed and efficiency of the way contractors are graded for their work. Every scorecard allows each contractor to grade themselves based on a variety of criteria. This score is then incorporated to the overall evaluation conducted by the government buyer who awarded the contract.

Congress has scheduled two hearings this week to explore these issues, and we share legislators’ desire to find solutions.
Teaneck, NJ, July 14 – Multi-factor authentication – a security protection required by US government standards – could have prevented the recent Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Office of Personnel Management (OPM) security breaches that have exposed the personal information of millions of citizens to hackers, spies and cyber-criminals. The Federal government has been encouraging its agencies to use multi-factor authentication since November 2009, when it published the FICAM (Federal Identity and Access Management) Roadmap and Implementation Guidance.
By H. Wayne Duff, Jr.Critical infrastructure defines all the assets, systems and networks in place to store and safeguard information vital to national security in the United States. So vital, in fact, that its incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on everything from economic security to public health and safety. Critical infrastructure is the country’s foundation, and compromising it would result in significant implications to the economy, security and overall health of our nation.
