CBP will use Polaris snowmobiles in North Dakota

To zip across the ice and snow in pursuit of illegal immigrants and other intruders across the Northern Border, Customers and Border Protection intends to purchase four Polaris 600 Switchback snowmobiles, which will be delivered to its Grand Forks, ND, sector.
The award is being set-aside for a small business.
“Polaris crossover sleds are built to help you tackle any terrain with total confidence,” says the PowerSports Network, which offers a variety of snowmobiles, on its Web site.
The 2010 version of the Polaris 600 Switchback model has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $9,099, says the PowerSports Network.
Bids are due from small business vendors by July 15.
