TVEyes wins small biz contract to monitor FEMA’s coverage on TV news

FEMA has awarded a small business set-aside contract worth as much as $98,000 to TVEyes, Inc., a broadcast media monitoring firm based in Fairfield, CT.

The agency wants to monitor, archive and measure all local news in “major Nielsen markets” plus all nationally broadcast news about FEMA activities, GSN reported on Feb. 16, 2012.

The award to TVEyes includes a one-year base contract plus three one-year options. “The pricing for each of these years (total of four) includes the cost of base package (11 accounts total) plus the cost of all surge accounts 12-40,” explained the contract announcement, which FEMA posted online on March 12. The surge capacity would be necessary “during extremely high disaster activity,” FEMA had explained in its solicitation.

“TVEyes is headquartered in Fairfield, Connecticut and has operational facilities located across the United States and internationally,” the company explains on its own Website. “The company was formed in 1999 in the field of TV and radio monitoring and quickly became the most technically advanced media monitoring company in the world. TVEyes technology has been recognized by the United States Department of Defense as a sole source provider for key monitoring applications around the world.”

Further informationj about this small business set-aside contract is available from Bianca Meira-Penna, a contract specialist, at Bianca.Meira-Penna@dhs.gov.
