FEMA’s advisory group to meet in Philadelphia on Oct. 16

FEMA’s National Advisory Council will hold an all-day public meeting in Philadelphia on October 16 at which its members will discuss the National Incident Management System, a public assistance pilot program on debris removal and permanent work, a national mass care strategy, and other subjects.
The meeting will be held at FEMA Region III offices located at 615 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. A public comment period will be held from 3:00 to 3:30 pm, during which attendees will be asked to limit their comments to three minutes, says a Federal Register notice.
The Council will hold discussions with FEMA Administrator W. Craig Fugate and Deputy Administrator Richard Serino, and receive briefings on implementation of the National Preparedness Plan, Integrated Public Alert and Warning System, and other topics.
